I've been working sporadically on a pearl cuff bracelet for the last few weeks now, sewing a dozen or so pearls in place each night as I sit cross legged on the couch snuggled under a vintage wool blanket with the warm glow of the tv inside and the cool frost of the snowfall outside.
Pearls seem to me the perfect winter accessory; winter is the time when the fashion world brings out the darker tones, but I think there is nothing so wintery as white. And today as I snapped some photos of the work in progress and the wooly vintage treasure discovered on Etsy I was inspired to put together a winter white inspiration board, designed around two gorgeous ensembles by Irish designer Eilis Boyle of the wonderful Silent Storyteller blog.

These are lovely as I look into a day that will wear a 75 degree mantle. Crazy. But the leaves continue to fall languidly against the backdrop of autumn sunlit days. I'm not going to complain. :) Have a beautiful day ~ xox Alexandra
