Life Happens...

I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, but I really haven't forgotten about you all and the posts I've been promising. I'm sure you have all been there before, though. You have the best of intentions, and then Life rears its fabulous head and says "Hah! Silly mortal, you thought you had some small measure of control over me? Bwah ha ha!! Oh, are these your little plans over here? How quaint and adorable! Take that! And that! And that!!" And then Life stomps on your little sandcastles with its Valentino Lace Court shoes and saunters away, promising to return again when you least expect it.

I've mentioned in a previous post that I've been struggling with chronic pain for the last three years. Recently I've been on a medication that almost miraculously seemed to give me my life back and reduced my pain to almost nothing. And as you also know I dedicated last month to focussing on my book, hoping to have it completed for the start of June. Well, I put my head down and made wonderful strides on the novel, and it is nearly complete. But it seems that perhaps my dedication outstripped the magic of medication because the pain is back in a big way and, as luck would have it, nothing sets the pain off like typing on my beloved computer. So I have sworn to my husband on a stack of religious literature that I will stay off the computer for at least a week in order to give my hands time to recover.

So please know that I am coming back, that I dearly love my little blog and the wonderful friendships I have been making with you all, and that I do not take my lovely followers for granted in the least. I miss you and your gorgeous blogs very much and hopefully I will be back to wander the virtual paths of Wonderblogland very soon!

Some Smug Pugs...

Well, this is yet again a quick visit because I feel terribly guilty for neglecting my little blog so much this past month. But my parents departed for their new home in Ontario the other day and things are just about getting back to normal! My to-do list is shrinking with satisfying substance and I'm starting to get that smug "on top of things" feeling. 

So I hope you all enjoy these darling pics of some pampered pooches, and I will be back very soon to take care of some important business...
