All Hallows Eve...

Historians link the celebration of halloween to the Celtic festival of Samhain, which marked the end of the lighter half of the year and the beginning of the darker. It was believed that the borders of reality became thin on this night, making humankind vulnerable to the spirits, thus the custom of wearing a frightening costume in order to intimidate the harmful spirits and remain safe for another year.
